Saturdays, 10 a.m. to Noon with Jeanne Santangelo
Explore art mediums and techniques in a supportive and fun environment, no experience necessary.

Work on your own projects at a pace you set. You choose the subject. Most students are middle and high school age.

Optional painting and drawing exercises, brief lectures and group discussion are offered. Painting and Drawing Classes for Young Adults will help you to build a portfolio. Dissusion and projects may include the use of charcoal, pencil, pen and ink, conté crayon and acrylic paints. Subjects may include portrait, self-portrait, still-life, animals and landscapes using mirrors, manikins, still-life arrangements and photographs.

Fees: $80/month.

Schedule: Schedule follows NUSD schools with the same holidays and vacation breaks.

Materials: A materials list will be provided when you reserve your space.

About the studio: Painting and Drawing for Young Adults with Jeanne Santangelo take place at Northbay Artworks. The light, spacious classroom space is air-conditioned and well-ventilated. Large tables, comfortable chairs and easels are provided.

About the instructor: Jeanne Santangelo is a published illustrator, painter and graphic designer. She has taught private lessons and summer art camps in drawing, painting and sculpture. She has been an NUSD Art Docent and is a Credentialed NUSD substitute teacher. She has a BA cum laude in Fine Arts and Art History from Hofstra University in NY. Works are in private collections in NY & CA.
